About the Role
The Material and Asset Representative ensures the effective management of spares aircraft components to support aircraft maintenance operations in an MRO environment. The specialist collaborates closely with operations, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure operational efficiency, cost control, and readiness of assets, directly contributing to safety, reliability, and on-time aircraft service delivery.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage M1 owned materials and assets
- Research market trends and changes that may impact managed assets
- Monitor, and upsell allocated customers to meet yearly budget targets
- Create new opportunities for revenue flow by having a good understanding of your customer base
- Support all quotation requests through sales functions of sales activities
- Grow network of external and internal industry contacts to monitor various information sources and trade publications for sales offerings
- Gather publicly available information on similar programs for benchmark purposes
- Contribute to sales and market capture budgets and be accountable for sales support functions
- Carry out responsibilities autonomously and in cooperation with management and cross functional departments such as Operations.
Required skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related fields, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry, preferably in an airline or MRO setting, dealing with the planning, sourcing, loan, exchange and outright sale of aircraft materials and assets
- Experience with back-to-birth documentation review and knowledgeable in applicable approved material certification.
- Ability to present concepts and people skills to facilitate prospect discussions
- Understanding of costs and behaviors of parts network is considered a strong asset.
- Knowledge of sales operations, sales offerings network strategies in North America is an asset
- Capable of handling multiple customer accounts simultaneously while working in a high-pressure environment
- Working knowledge of business and data intelligence software, such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau is a strong asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and PowerPoint
- The ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a team
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Exceptional customer relationship and customer support skills.
- Strong organization and presentation skills.
- Bilingual (French and English*)
* The position requires a very good knowledge of English, both oral and written. The position involves reading and understanding technical documents in English on a daily basis, especially from international companies, as well as regular communication with customers, suppliers and other international stakeholders.
